Welcome back to our U13 squad for the 2009/2010 rugby season with a particularly warm welcome to those members joining Con for the first time. We have in excess of 70 members in our squad this year and everybody will play a part in the busy season ahead with home and away league games, trips and visits and of course the Welsh tour in the new year.
We had a very successful year at U12 level where we had away trips to Dublin beating Terenure college for the first time many many years. In addition we defeated Rosalind Park School team from England during their visit to Cork and the year culminated with a tour to France where we had a very successful tournament with 3 teams participating. There was silverware too with winning the Waterpark U12 Blitz in Waterford and the plate at the Beauvauis tournament in France.
Remember training is on Saturday 10:00 to 12:15 and Wednesday16:00 to 17:45. Any players selected for specific games will be notified in advance and those not selected for a given match will have regular training unless otherwise informed.
Here's to a great year ahead, already looking good with wins against Tralee and Sundays Well but most of all we hope that all boys and parents/familes enjoy your rugby and the season ahead.
