Jeanne O'Brien, Toronto - RIP

The death has occurred in Toronto of Jeanne O’Brien, wife of our esteemed member, Frank O’Brien. The sympathy of our President, Pat O’Keeffe, the Executive and all members goes to Frank and his family.

Many club officers and players remember meeting Jeanne in August 2002 in Toronto, when Frank and Jeanne hosted a marvellous evening at their lovely home during the club tour led by President Noel Walsh to Toronto and Montreal.

Frank played on the first Munster Junior Cup winning team in 1949, when Peter Fitzgerald was captain, and on the Munster Senior League and Charity Cup winning teams in 1953, when Flor O’Leary was captain. From the club memorabilia on display at his home in Toronto, it is clear that Frank retains a huge passion for those great days and the club. He always wears his Constitution club tie with pride, and has maintained contact with members, always looking for club news, and of course always pays regular courtesy calls when in town.

We offer Frank and his family our condolences on their loss and wish them peace at a difficult time.
