Constitution got the better of Cobh Pirates in the return game of the J2 League at Temple Hill on Sunday. Conditions were not pleasant for players or spectators being cold, wet and windy.
Cobh were very strong physically, but the lighter Con side gave a good account of themselves in the difficult conditions to reverse the result from the earlier fixture.
Con led 7-0 at half time with a try from Eoin O’Donnell converted by Simon Barry. Rory O’Sullivan extended the lead in the second period while Cobh replied with two penalties.
