Score: Cork Constitution FC 53 V 3 Waterpark
Venue: Templehill
Date: Sun 31st January 2010
Constitution cruised comfortably into the fourth round of the Munster Junior Cup with a big win over a gallant Waterpark side. The visitors had no answer to the pace and skill of this young Constitution side.
Full back Robert Clune ran in two early tries following good work by Brendan Cuttriss. Cyprien Jouve scored the third try in the 18th minute and Michael Keyes added two conversions for 19-0. Colin O’Shea knocked over a penalty for Waterpark before No.8 Tim Dukelow added two further tries, resulting from strong Constitution scrummaging, to leave the score 31-3 at the break.
Con maintained their high tempo in the second period. The hard working Rogan Gee scored in the 55th minute with Keyes adding the extras. Former CBC out half Darragh Dunne made his debut in the 60th minute with Keyes moving to the centre, and Keyes scored two tries in quick succession. Conor Desmond completed the scoring in the 70th minute.
Constitution will play Young Munster at Clifford Park in the next round scheduled for Sunday 14th February.
